We are now recruiting for a Inbound Sales Executive to join our L&D Marketing team, in a full-time capacity.

About the role

The inbound sales executive is responsible for handling all incoming leads and product enquiries. The executive understands how to determine customers’ needs and presents product solutions persuasively to close the sale. Excellent communication and engagement skills enables the inbound sales executive to establish a rapport with potential and existing customers, to increase the potential order size and hit sales targets.

  • Deliver new revenue in line with business objectives meeting conversion rate targets.
  • Be responsible for own inbound sales activity to ensure they are in line with agreed performance requirements and KPIs.
  • Manage and respond to incoming sales leads, and deal with product sales enquiries promptly.
  • Explore customer needs with the aim of maximising sales and revenue opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the product team to maintain excellent knowledge of the BCS L&D product portfolio, and key features of products.
  • Maintain excellent knowledge of L&D and wider BCS marketing campaigns, and clearly understand sales priorities.
  • Be aware of competitive offers to aid conversations with customers / potential customers to help close sales.
  • Match the L&D product offer to customer needs, closing a sale in relation to the main enquiry and increase the value of the opportunity and sale as appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective and engaging communication and follow-up.
  • Confidently prospect using the appropriate method as guided by the marketing lead.
  • Plan and manage own activities as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Qualify sales leads and where appropriate securing appointments for potentially high value opportunities and the relevant account manager.
  • Record and maintain all customer interactions on Salesforce, following the necessary process, ensuring data enables accurate reporting to support forecasting and ongoing targeted marketing activity.
  • Flexibility is required of all job holders to adjust responsibilities as required from time to time by their Line Manager/Divisional Director.

Who are we looking for?

Education and qualifications
  • 5x GCSE’s or equivalent, including English and Maths, at grade C or above.
  • Sales qualification / apprenticeship preferred.
Experience
  • Proven experience of selling business-to-business products/services/solutions.
  • Proven experience in developing business, generating revenue and securing appointments for field sales colleagues.
  • Demonstrable experience of successfully establishing contacts and developing relationships.
Competencies and skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication and listening skills. A professional telephone manner and a consultative approach.
  • Articulate and confident, able to communicate effectively with customers by phone, email and social media to influence them to buy.
  • Ability to research sectors to develop business opportunities that lead to revenue opportunities.
  • Effective at identifying prospective clients’ requirements and able to match these to BCS products.
  • Ability to quickly build trust and rapport with customers and enhance BCS’s reputation.
  • Able to quickly and effectively provide detailed quotes for prospective customers, along with appropriate service (operational) information.
  • Able to organise, plan and prioritise own workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Influencing, negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Able to learn new products, services and solutions.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, determined and target driven.
  • Committed to achieving and exceeding sales performance targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to identify improvements within the department.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of data protection legislation, specifically GDPR.
  • Knowledge of IT education and training market would be advantageous.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar.
  • Experience using Hubspot or similar.
Special conditions
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays in the UK supporting Regional Customer Managers and marketing activities.
  • Attendance at events across the UK may be required.
