Job title: Senior Workflow Automation Analyst
Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum

We are looking for a Senior Workflow Automation Analyst is responsible for identifying, designing and implementing business process automations across BCS. The role will make use of automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate and n8n to streamline workflows, eliminate manual effort, and deliver efficiency gains across the organisation.

Role responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership to the Workflow Automation Analyst, upholding our company values while providing technical direction, managing, coaching, and development, to foster engagement, growth, and high performance.
  • Identify opportunities for automation across business processes in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Design, build, test and deploy automation solutions using platforms such as Microsoft
  • Power Automate, n8n and other low-code/no-code tools.
  • Ensure automations are reliable, secure, and aligned to compliance and governance standards.
  • Maintain existing automations, ensuring they continue to function as intended through platform updates and business change.
  • Apply structured analysis and documentation of workflows to ensure transparency and repeatability.
  • Collaborate with developers, testers and business teams to integrate automation into wider solutions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on automation tools and practices, mentoring colleagues and promoting adoption of best practice.
  • Establish monitoring and reporting of automation performance, including efficiency gains and ROI.
  • Support change management by documenting processes, providing training and ensuring stakeholders are engaged in automation adoption.
  • Contribute to wider technology initiatives by ensuring automation is considered in solution design.
  • Uphold BCS values by providing technical expertise, coaching others, and contributing to a culture of learning, innovation, and high performance.
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by seeking opportunities to enhance processes, performance, and outcomes.

Who are we looking for?

Education and qualifications
  •  Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Systems or equivalent technical experience.
  • Professional membership of BCS - MBCS.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft Power Platform / Power Automate desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline (or equivalent technical experience).
Experience
  • Demonstrable experience designing and delivering process automation solutions in a business environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Power Automate, n8n or equivalent automation platforms.
  • Proven ability to analyse and map business processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Experience working in agile delivery environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to balance technical detail with clear business-focused outcomes.
  • Well organised and capable of managing multiple automation projects concurrently.

Knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of automation platforms (Power Automate, n8n, Zapier or similar).
  • Good understanding of APIs, webhooks and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with data security, GDPR and compliance in the context of automation.
  • Awareness of common business process frameworks and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of reporting and monitoring automation effectiveness.
Special conditions
  • There is occasional requirement for out of hours working.
