We are recruiting for a Service Delivery Officer - Community to join our Community team, on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This is a full-time role with a hybrid structure enabling the right candidate to work from both home and our Swindon offices located on key transport links in the town centre.

About the role

Work as part of the community department to deliver, within agreed service levels, a high quality service to community volunteers to support the delivery of community activity helping to demonstrate the vale of BCS to new and existing members.

Key responsibilities:

  • Publish and manage online event registration requested by community groups and work with volunteers and coordinators to make amendments where appropriate. Providing our volunteers with updates on event registrations and support community coordinators by providing requested information to support successful running of the event;
  • Process and review information received in support of community administrative functions such as community committee management; adding, removing and editing committee members in salesforce and requesting webpage updates to reflect changes;
  • Administer induction and training programmes for community volunteers, helping to schedule activity and manage induction sign ups;
  • Process requests for student prizes, arranging payment and receipt of membership for prize winners;
  • Administer speaker gift process receiving requests from our community volunteers and ordering gifts to be dispatched to speakers;
  • Administer video production process, adding new recordings to our video production workflow for video production supplier to edit;
  • Manage event reporting processes such as attendance vs registration figures;
  • Support post event communications to attendees such as issuing surveys through our event system;
  • Provide excellent service to our customers, both internal and external. Communicate effectively through all communication channels available; email, telephone and Zendesk;
  • Take ownership of issues through to completion, escalating matters when appropriate and ensuring that relevant details are available for colleagues to allow them to manage these issues in your absence;
  • Have a flexible approach and be prepared to support other team members to ensure departmental goals are achieved;
  • Support processes to enable creation of CPD content from community events, ensuring community volunteers complete relevant forms to help instruct CPD production;
  • Work to all policies, standards and procedures within SLA’s, KPI’s, BCS regulations and third parties regulations;
  • Produce and maintain statistics and information which will contribute to management reports as and when required;
  • Flexibility is required of all job holders to adjust responsibilities as required from time to time by their Line Manager / Divisional Director;

Who are we looking for?

Education and qualifications
  • 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English at Grade C above or equivalent
  • Proven experience of working in a customer focused and/or client services environment
  • Proven experience in the use of Customer Relationship Management systems and other databases, including bespoke set ups
  • Proven involvement in business process improvement
Competencies and skills
  • Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • A pro-active and positive “can do” attitude
  • Excellent team player, who is also able to work independently
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills

Special conditions
  • Some offsite visits to clients, partners and suppliers may be required;
  • Travel to other BCS offices may be required;
  • Some out-of-hours working including weekends may be required.
