ii) Election of members of Council

Professional Membership

The Institute received ten valid nominations for election to Council by the Professional Membership for four ordinary vacancies each for a three-year term of office. The following candidates were elected:

  • Elle Anderson FBCS
  • Joseph Arday MBCS
  • Sharon Moore MBE CITP FBCS
  • Eliot Smith RITTech MBCS

Regional Constituency

The Institute received one valid nomination for election to Council by the Regional Constituency for two ordinary vacancies for a three-year term of office. The following candidate was elected:

  • Dave Donaghy MBCS

Specialist Group Constituency

The Institute received one valid nomination for election to Council by the Specialist Group Constituency for one ordinary vacancy for a three-year term of office. The following candidate was elected:

  • Wing Ho Victor Chan MBCS

The Institute received five valid nominations for election to Council by the Young Professionals Constituency for two ordinary vacancies each for a three-year term of office.

The following candidates were elected (alphabetical by surname):

  • Samira Ali MBCS
  • Alexander Robinson

These members will serve on Council commencing at the conclusion of the 2024 AGM until the close of the 2027 AGM.

iii) Ordinary Resolutions

Ordinary Resolutions require a simple majority of those voting to vote in favour for them to pass.

Appointment of the Auditors

(Item 5 on the Calling Notice) - Members received as an Ordinary Resolution that haysmacintyre LLP Chartered Accountants of 10 Queen Street Place, London EC4R 1AG, be appointed auditors to the Institute to hold office from the conclusion of the 2024 AGM until the conclusion of the 2025 AGM.

On a poll, the Ordinary Resolution 1 – Appointment of the Auditors to the Institute was carried by:

For: 2975 (98.06%) Against: 59 (1.94%)

The Resolution was carried.   

Approval of Membership subscriptions

(Item 6 on the Calling Notice) - Members received as an Ordinary Resolution that with effect from 1 May 2024 and in accordance with Bye-law 15, the following sums shall be paid by way of annual subscription.
