The Service Management Specialist Group provides an avenue for developing and promoting IT service management techniques and standards such as ITIL®, COBIT® and ISO/IEC 20000. The goal of the SMSG is to facilitate free and open exchange of ideas, experiences and best practice in all that is IT Service Management.

We look to do this by delivering open events for Continual Professional Development to all levels of the community from top industry and academic speakers, practitioners and thought leaders.

The SMSG have a twitter hash tag #bcssmsg, and please join our LinkedIn group to use as the general discussion forum in support of the Specialist Group. The committee will endeavour to take an active part in all conversations.

How to join our Service Management Specialist Group

If you are already a member of BCS, simply log in to MyBCS and select the "Update specialist groups" link within the "Manage Your Membership" section. You will then be able to select and join the Service Management Specialist Group (and of course any others groups you may wish to join!).

If you are not already a BCS member, join today to gain access to the BCS Specialist Groups. To join simply complete the online joining process. If the BCS is unable to offer you the grade for which you apply you will be welcomed into membership at the grade for which you currently qualify.
