Cyber Crime 2018 is an annual event dedicated to the topic of Cyber Security


Only 400 seats are available at this state-of-the-art venue so register early to avoid disappointment.

Enjoy a series of informative cyber security presentations and a live hack on the big screen! See how your identity, your computer, your website and your business can be hacked and more importantly, how it can be secured. This event will benefit anyone who is interested in improving the security of their personal devices or business systems.


Topics include basic security, privacy and GDPR through to ransomware, malware, phishing, spoofing and code injections.

Conference Programme

5:30pm - 6:30pm
Registration and networking. Bar open for refreshments.
Free Subway Sandwiches (including vegetarian option) will be served during this time.


6:30pm to 8pm
Cyber Crime 2018 Programme of expert speakers, discussion panels and audience participation through question and answers. This will last approximately 90 minutes. Details of speakers will be provided nearer the date – Last year our speakers included experts from Secarma and the Police Organised Crime Unit.


During the programme, a live hack (ethical) will be demonstrated on the big screen. See how the hackers break in!


8pm - 9pm
Networking. Bar open for refreshments.


FREE SUBWAY SANDWICHES
Served between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. Vegetarian option will be available.

Student hacking competition

Winning Team to be Announced at Cyber Crime 2018

All universities are invited to organise teams of cyber security students for an online hacking competition.


The online competition will take place during November and the winning team will be interviewed during the main programme of Cyber Crime 2018.


Prize Fund
A £400 cheque will be presented to the winning team at the event


Recognition
The winning university team will be published as "Winners of Cyber Crime 2018" on bcs.org and on cybercrime.co.uk

The Annual Event for Cyber Security

We pack everything you need to know about cyber security into one great event.

The event is open to everyone so please feel free to bring your colleagues, family or friends. You don't need to be a BCS member to attend and the event is free. Doors open at 5:30pm for registration and refreshments, which is one hour before the programme starts at 6:30pm. Get there early to enjoy your free Subway sandwich. See you on 10th December!
