BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, the only end-point assessment body dedicated to the new digital IT standards, will be hosting its second apprenticeship evening on 8 February 2017

  • 7:20pm - What small businesses should start thinking about regarding apprenticeships – Mike Cherry, Federation of Small Businesses

This event has attracted over 360 registrants to date with representation from BT, Nationwide, Allianz, HP, Ministry of Justice, met Office, Health Education for England, Amazon, Nationwide, BAE, welcome Trust, Bechtel to name just a few.

Bringing together the wider apprenticeship community, this is primarily an engagement and thought leadership event facilitating apprenticeship expertise, opinion and debate with the experts to inform both levy and non-levy paying employers on the relevance and the reality on the delivery of the new digital standards. Providing them the opportunity to get involved in the panelled lively discussion and debate which will be the main feature of this event, which will follow on into the networking session with apprenticeship experts and their employers who are already delivering apprenticeships available to discuss challenges faced by employers and help them take their next apprenticeship step

The experts will focus on three main topics:

  • The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Digital IT and apprentices entering the industry
  • Reality in the delivery of apprenticeships – the how to and what this means to those transferring from the old to the new standards and what it means to those about to embark on their apprenticeship journey
  • Funding changes

This is an unique event bringing together a mix of audiences under one roof.
