Speaker: Bridget Boylan
Drawing from Bridget’s own experiences and referencing specific case studies, Bridget will highlight the various business change processes she has used successfully on projects and programmes, and will explain the results achieved.
The talk will highlight the different roles involved in change management and will explain the difference between outcomes and benefits. Bridget will also share her tips for ensuring that change endures beyond the life of the project.
As well as addressing the ‘hard’ skills of change management Bridget will focus on the ‘soft’ skills which complement the change management toolkit, such as leadership, coaching, delegation and mentoring.
Speaker Biography
Bridget Boylan
Over a 30 year career, Bridget has managed all sizes of IT projects, from single person projects to multi-million-pound programmes lasting 2-3 years, with multiple work streams and dozens of team members.
Bridget specializes in implementing large IT systems for London Universities and previously worked in the private sector with Barclays Bank and United Biscuits managing IT projects and programmes for subsidiaries in the UK and Spain.
Bridget coaches, mentors and trains junior project managers, and shares her project management hints and tips through writing articles for magazines and giving talks, to support the Association for Project Management 2020 vision of ‘A world in which all projects succeed’.
