This independent event is part of Ada Lovelace Day, a worldwide celebration of women in science, technology, engineering and maths. We aim to inform and inspire, so we invited some inspiring speakers to explore game-changing technology and give an insight into their lives and roles as successful leaders in their sector.
SWiT are delighted to be hosted by Tesco Bank and collaborating with BCSWomen for this event.
This event will explore the subjects of the future for FinTech in Scotland, and also Blockchain and its potential to change our businesses - both financial and beyond. Blockchain technology, in particular, has the potential to transform business operating models in the long term, above and beyond its more widely recognised use for cryptocurrencies. PWC’s “Financial Services Technology 2020 and Beyond: Embracing disruption” report identified Blockchain as one of the ten key themes that they believe IT executives will need to address as they begin their strategic planning for 2020 and beyond.
