In 2017, the Fawcett Society estimated it would take 100 years to close the UK gender pay gap. As we pass the half-way point in the first year of gender pay reporting, this evening of discussion and insight will ask whether publishing figures is changing anything and draw on what’s working now to look at what we can all be doing as companies and individuals to address the root causes of the gap and accelerate the pace of change.

About the speaker
Ursula Tavender
Ursula set up Mumbelievable, a blog and business dedicated to supporting parents to return to work, stay in the workforce and progress in the careers they love in 2015 after struggling with her own identity and confidence after having her first child. In 2017, having realised that she could make more of a difference by helping companies to increase support, inclusion and progression opportunities for working parents and carers, she established Taking Care of Business, a consultancy that helps businesses devise simple solutions to increase productivity and retention, reduce costs, enhance diversity and close the gender pay gap.
