In this session, Alok Dwivedi, Senior Consultant of Instaclustr will be discussing a base level introduction to some of the technologies and design patterns used to build out scalable and resilient applications.
The workshop will cover
· When you should use these technologies and key considerations.
· Different architecture options when combining these leading open source technologies.
· How to use the technologies in a resilient and scalable way and real-world application patterns such as IoT, social apps and consumer services.

SPEAKER BIOGRAPHY
Alok is a passionate technologist with around 20 years of experience, specialising in architecture, design and implementation of enterprise applications that demand high availability, performance, scalability and security. His experience includes various blue-chip organizations in wide variety of domains covering storage, archiving, finance and logistics. Since last 5 years he has been working in Big Data space using technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark etc. to drive the implementation of various kinds of SaaS solutions.
He holds various patents in the field of storage and archiving. His key technical specialities include Data modelling using SQL and NoSQL in a polyglot environment, MiddleTier design and development, Web Services development, Micro services design and development, Database design and development, Multi-threaded development etc. His qualification includes B.Sc. (Engineering), P.G. Diploma in advanced computing and MBA (technology management).
He is also AWS certified solution architect (associate).
