This event is organised by the IET Isle of Wight Section, and jointly promoted with the BCS Hampshire branch.

Speaker: Charlie Dunford BEng MIET, Lecturer CECAMM

Description:

50 years on from the moon landings the Apollo Guidance Computer is still used as a metric for computer performance. The talk is a technical look at the architecture, hardware, system and mission software which will open your eyes as to how much was achieved with what looks like very limited resources by today’s standards.
