Synopsis

Michael spent 30 years working internationally in the technology business, starting in the flight simulation market. He talks very openly and honestly about his experience in his marketing roles with Prime Computer, Wang, ICL, Commodore, Lotus Development and Gateway and the lessons that he learned-both good and bad! He talks of his very humble beginnings and the technology career that enabled him to live a life beyond his wildest dreams, balanced with his volunteering work, which he hopes will have helped pay back into society his debt as a ‘child of charity’.

About the speakers

Michael is currently the immediate Past President of BCS, has served as both the Clerk and Master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, is a Trustee of 15 Academy schools with a passion for education, and has supported the Lord Mayor of the City of London as a ‘Pikeman’ for the past 15 years.
