Synopsis

With software development recognised as an essential digital skill in today’s increasingly digital world, today’s aspiring software developers need to be much more than coders. They need to understand the business context, the client, the process of design, the user experience, the end-to-end development process, project management and, importantly, have an understanding of development methodologies and approaches, security techniques and even relevant legislation. But all of this knowledge must be underpinned by key employment skills such as communication and collaboration, together with the ability to demonstrate professional behaviours.
