Synopsis

In his recent book, Cash and Dash, Mr. Batiz-Lazo looks closely at the influence of the ATM on the retail banking journey and explores the drivers of long-term innovation. In this session he will cover the challenges of deploying new technology and examine the balance between investing in new innovation and maintaining existing technology all while securing the trust of customers.

About the speaker

Bernardo Batiz-Lazo is a world class authority on the automation of banking, financial technology, and cashless retail payments. He is Professor of Business History and Bank Management at Bangor University and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He has been studying financial markets and institutions since 1988.
