A high level view of the various volunteering opportunities across BCS to get more involved through volunteering and sign posting on how to get started. This session will coincide with the launch of a new volunteering with guide.
18:00-18:45 - Member Groups, committee volunteering
Deep Dive into life as a member group committee member. Hear from current committee members on what is involved and what they personally get from the experience.

Barefoot empowers primary school teachers across the UK to deliver the computing curriculum brilliantly with free workshops, helpful online guides and engaging lessons. Barefoot is on the side of teachers; helping them inspire pupils to think, learn and thrive in a digital world.

Our assessment processes for some membership levels and professional standards are conducted by peers. Assessment can be a great way to give back to your profession and can be an insightful way of expanding your knowledge of how the IT profession fits together.

Deep dive, hear from some of our existing mentors on their experiences of mentoring and what they get out of it. As well as how to get involved.
