The AGM is an important meeting in the Branch calendar and is a formal opportunity for Branch BCS members to review the past year and influence and shape what we do in the future; it’s an opportunity for anyone to get involved.

Following convention the AGM will precede a presentation and this year a committee member will share their experience of their involvement with the BCS and CAS delivered TEALS scheme. TEALS, Technology Education and Learning Support, focuses on increasing access to computer education for students who are underserved or under-represented in tech. Volunteers support teachers in the classroom on a regular basis, boosting subject knowledge and enriching student learning.

TEALS Helps computing teachers accelerate their professional development by partnering when with industry volunteers Delegates will be invited to listen to the presentation and raise any questions for the presenter to answer as well as enquire how and where they may also wish to contribute in future schemes.
