Personal statement:
I have worked over 25 years in digital and technology transformation and change across US NGO, UK public sector organisations and global private sector firms - bringing multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience to improve the way technology products/services are designed, delivered, and operationalised. I am very privileged to have been named in Computer Weekly’s “UKTech50 longlist” and “Top 50 Most Influential Women in UK Tech”.
More than ever, responsibly designed technologies have the potential to address systemic wicked problems, but this is highly dependent on understanding and acting on the negative risks while seeking desired benefits. The involvement of the public in design and decision-making is essential for equitable transformation, and I remain committed to give and share platform to the unheard and/or unseen through my work, and in volunteering in a range of organisations and networks. We all have power through our professional communities to be the change.

Nomination statement:
With almost 10 years of combined BCS volunteer service, my committee roles include the BCS Digital Divide Specialist Group, BCS Community Support Committee and BCSWomen.
As BCSWomen soon celebrates 25 years, it is the perfect time to reflect on how far we have come on the shoulders of these amazing women - driving change, supporting pathways into tech, role modelling career progression and celebrating the achievements of women in technology - and to ready for 25 more!
If elected BCSWomen chair, I will align our portfolio for member impact, celebrate our learning, progress and successes, remain an open door to our members and allies, champion career opportunities and equitable professional standards, advocate for sustainability and deliver meaningful initiatives with our members for professional and social impact.
