About the speaker
Michael Borrelli is an experienced AI governance and regulatory specialist with extensive expertise in global AI regulations, laws, rules, standards, frameworks, codes, and frontier technologies, including FinTech and AI.
As Director of AI & Partners, he has led the structured, end-to-end deployment of AI solutions across regulated environments, providing strategic guidance on risk management, operational integration, and adherence to emerging AI laws.
Michael applies a methodical, step-by-step approach to designing and executing AI governance projects, developing compliance infrastructure, and creating product specifications for compliance software.
He has delivered practical advisory and training programs covering AI in the customer journey, AI banking, FinTech and digitalisation, digital transformation, AML, cybersecurity, and private-public partnerships.
His combination of regulatory knowledge, structured project execution, and hands-on AI implementation ensures organisations can deploy AI responsibly and effectively.
He also has high technical proficiency in software applications, primarily Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
