Synopsis
HR transformation is often approached as a system replacement exercise, yet many programmes struggle to deliver meaningful outcomes. This session will present a practical, experience-led perspective on how organisations can move beyond technology implementation to achieve real operational progress. The talk will explore how successful transformation depends on aligning people, processes, data, and technology from the outset. It will highlight the critical questions that should be addressed early in any HR transformation, including clarity of business outcomes, ownership of data and decisions, and the design of an effective HR operating model.
Using real-world examples, the session will demonstrate how modern HR systems enable employee and manager self-service, reduce administrative burden, and improve workforce visibility. It will also address common failure points such as poor data quality, unclear governance, and lack of adoption planning.
Attendees will leave with a clear framework and practical considerations to help them plan, challenge, and deliver HR transformation initiatives more effectively. Key Topics Covered: Transformation vs system implementation The role of people, process, data, and technology in HR change Critical questions for sponsors and project teams The impact of employee and manager self-service Common risks and failure points in HR transformation Indicators of successful transformation and measurable outcomes.
