Synopsis
Artificial intelligence is simultaneously the biggest defensive opportunity and the biggest new attack surface in cyber security.
This 45-minute session cuts through the hype to look at what AI is genuinely doing in industry today, how the technology has evolved from generic chatbots to fully deployed agentic AI, how attackers are already weaponising it, and how defenders - and the cyber insurance market - are responding.
Drawing on first-hand experience building AI-driven cyber, privacy and AI risk intelligence products for the global insurance market, the talk offers a grounded, practitioner's view of where AI creates real value, where it creates real exposure, and what comes next as multi-agent ecosystems and increasingly autonomous models arrive.
Delegates will take away:
- A realistic picture of AI adoption across industry - deployed value vs. demo-ware.
- A structured, three-layer way to think about AI-related cyber risk: attacks using AI, attacks on AI, and risks from adopting AI.
- A view from the cyber insurance market on how AI risk is being measured, priced and transferred.
- A practical three-question framework for assessing AI exposure and opportunity in their own organisation.
