Synopsis

This event is repeated on 4 and 11 June; please select the date you wish to attend.

Modern Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) has captured the imaginations of billions around the globe; organisations of all types included.

The big question is how to best leverage modern AI technologies whilst at the same time mitigating the risks. Since the aim of Enterprise Architecture (EA) is to strive towards the best possible integration between business activities, business technology tools and applications and technological infrastructure, it was felt that the emerging issues need the combined minds of practitioners and researchers in an attempt to chart the way forward.

Artificial Intelligence tools, of various kinds, has attracted huge interest, and sometimes even caused panic, amongst corporations, institutions and even national bodies of all kinds. This has led to various modes of AI exploitation: from casual AI use to strategic thrusts that explicitly aim to leverage AI tools, of whatever kind, even if the current wave is largely focused on the generative kind, typified by the likes of ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude applications.

OBJECTIVES

This workshop brings together practitioners and thinkers in enterprise architecture, information systems to exchange opinions & learnings about effectively integrating AI into EA.

More specifically, guided the stratification into a base-level of “Establishing a Shared AI Vision & Foundation” and top level “Utilise, Experiment & Innovate with AI” that was used in the first workshop on the issues during the EA 9th annual conference in London, we suggest to focus on the following questions:

  1. Readiness to facilitate (Knowledge and skills)
  2. Fast assessments on data and existing AI environments
  3. Is your EA mature enough?
  4. AI Strategy vs AI enabling strategy.
