Claire Mironik

Serving as the Digital Services Change and Test Manager at Aston University since July 2024, I bring over a decade of experience across IT support, service delivery, and technology management. I began my career in hands‑on technical roles, working in IT Service Desk, 2nd Line Support, Network Support, Project Support, and leading on Incident Management.

My career has spanned both commercial organisations and the public‑sector policing environment, giving me a strong operational foundation and a deep understanding of how digital services function in high‑pressure, mission‑critical settings. I now specialise in IT Change Enablement, applying ITIL 4 best practice to ensure changes are fully assessed, risks are understood, and the right stakeholders are engaged throughout the process. I work closely with technical teams to support reliable, well‑governed change through structured workflows, strong governance, and collaborative decision‑making. I lead the team team by embedding ITIL‑aligned best practice across all change activity, ensuring every change is well‑assessed, collaboratively delivered, and supported by clear, structured processes that enable confident and consistent decision‑making With experience in Change Management and ISTQB‑certified software testing, my focus is on building efficient, repeatable processes that enhance service reliability and minimise operational risk.

I am committed to enabling teams to deliver change confidently while maintaining stability across digital services. Alongside process excellence, I am deeply passionate about inclusive and advancing gender diversity within technology. I advocate for equitable working environments and greater representation across the digital sector. In 2025, I founded The Women in Tech Meet‑Up and continue to volunteer as a committee member for BCS Women, championing visibility, support, and opportunities for women in tech. I aim to help shape a future where the next generation encounters fewer barriers than the women who came before them.
