Synopsis
BCS ISSG Fireside Chat - The Office on Wheels and the Employee in the Machine; Who Remains Accountable?
As artificial intelligence, connected vehicles and digital workplace technologies reshape how we live and work, the boundaries between people, organisations and technology are becoming increasingly blurred. But as innovation accelerates, who remains accountable?
Join us in exploring two emerging challenges:
- The Office on Wheels: When connected vehicles become mobile workplaces, who is responsible for cybersecurity, data privacy, employee surveillance and driver safety?
- The Employee in the Machine: As AI-powered digital clones begin to replicate employees' knowledge, expertise and decision-making, where does knowledge management end and digital impersonation begin?
Our expert panel will explore the security, privacy, ethical and governance implications of these technologies, challenging us to rethink how organisations balance innovation with human autonomy, trust and accountability.
The question is no longer simply what technology can do, but what we should allow it to do - and who takes responsibility when things go wrong.
