UCL, BCS Academy and IBM are presenting the 15th London Hopper Colloquium on Wednesday 13th May 2020.

London Hopper is for academic researchers across the UK who are building a career in computing. Featuring women speakers talking about their research, a spotlight competition open to postgraduate students, and opportunities to network with other new researchers in computing, this year’s event will be at BCS’s new London headquarters in Moorgate.

Research Spotlight competition

The Research Spotlight competition focuses on women research Masters students and women PhD students, providing them with a friendly forum for communicating the essence of their work. This will be via 3.5-minute presentations to other postgraduate students and postdoc's. Presentation topics may be from any research area within the field of computing, and may encompass interdisciplinary studies connected to computing.

There will be 14 spotlight presentations, split between two thirty-minute sessions. Prizes will be awarded for the best research spotlight presentations.

Registration: 10.00-11.00, Colloquium: 11.00-16.00

Lunch is provided.

Registration for London Hopper and the Spotlight competition will open in March 2020. A full programme will also be available detailing all the guest speakers.
