BCSWomen AI Accelerator cognitive services taster session held at Greenwich University

As part of BCSWomen AI Accelerator, BCSWomen ran a free cognitive services taster session, at University of Greenwich, led by Christina Leo, Cloud Solution Architect, Data & AI, at Microsoft, assisted by Professor Cornelia Boldyreff and Dr Yasmine Arafa, University of Greenwich, BCSWomen Andrea Palmer and Nadia Abouayoub.
Despite the inclement weather and travel difficulties on the evening, the event was well attended and delegates were led through workbooks of exercises using Microsoft Cognitive Services for Photo Interpretation and Conversion of Handwriting to Text and some progressed on the coding their own programs using the cognitive services that Christina introduced during the workshop.
Over half the attendees were undergraduate students from the University of Greenwich.
