Our Group was formed out of the BCS Payroll committee, in the early 1980s, to allow wider membership and participation. With that strengthened representation across the IT industry, the group became an important advisor to government departments.
Today, the Payroll specialist group is a primary interface between UK payroll software developers and the government departments who oversee both compliance and calculation policy as it relates to payroll and HR software.
Our meetings usually last an afternoon, and representatives from HMRC, The Pensions Regulator and other government departments are regular presenters.
