SYNOPSIS
We will be focusing on an important aspect of project management – how to maximise the performance of traditional and Agile project teams. We will explore how to identify and harness individual skills, personalities and cultures of team members. It will look at techniques for engaging all team members as effectively as possible and for motivating them through the project lifecycle. Hands on exercises and case studies will form an important and effective part of the school. This Spring School is relevant to both junior and senior project managers as well as roles present on project and programme boards. If you expect to find yourself attending a project workshop, this is for you!

Monday 4 March 2019
Part 1: The Case for Business Agility
John Williams, CEO Agile Business Forum
John will present the Agile Business Consortium's most recent White Paper that offers an independent viewpoint on three aspects of Business Agility, Strategic Agility, Employee Engagement and Innovation. This paper presents the case for Business Agility by using real-life results and evidence-based research.

Monday 11 March 2019
Part 2: Agile Project Management
Vic Page, Partner, Actineo Consulting LLP
This week's presentation will cover the key area of explaining how a rigorous approach to project management is just as important for an Agile project as for any other. Vic will look at the key aspects involved in project management and say how they should be addressed in an agile context.

Monday 18 March 2019
Part 3: Governance, PMO and Certification for Agile
Barbara Roberts, Director for Professional Development, Agile Business Consortium & Andrew Craddock, Director, Agile Business Consortium
The most effective project teams are those where team members are working consistently to common standards. The presentation will start by emphasising the relevance of personal certification in Agile, which lead to The Agile Business Consortium being the first organisation to offer personal certification in Agile.

Monday 25 March 2019
Part 4: Agile Case Studies
Adam Mitchell, Anglia Ruskin University & Peter Measey, Chairman and Founder of Radtac Limited
Case Study 1: Replacing Anglia Ruskin University's Learning Management System (the heart of any higher-education's business) from what was previously an in-house built bespoke solution to an externally hosted cloud-based system.
Case Study 2: Radtac is an Agile Consulting company that Peter formed in 1998, since then it has grown to be a multi-million pound international business. This case study will look at the journey of Radtac that has always been an inherently Agile business designed to support other agile businesses.
