About the BCS Level 2 Digital Pathways

This collection of industry-focused qualifications enables individuals to develop both the technical skills and the capabilities to communicate and collaborate with others in diverse and cross-functional environments experienced within a variety of digital roles.

These certificates have been developed in relation to the growth of roles becoming available in the areas of data, project management, information technology (IT), and digital administration, and offer candidates tailored learning packages to ensure the skills learned directly relate to these career pathways.

The new Level 2 Digital Pathways align to time important industry roles of project coordination, digital administration, IT systems administration, and data support. Each pathway is occupationally-focused, and benefits candidates and employers by:

  • allowing candidates to upskill and reskill, to keep up with the rate of change in the information age and stay at the forefront of digital skills in the workplace;
  • offering progression routes to Level 3 apprenticeships and foundation-level professional certifications;
  • allows candidates to access the hundreds of new digital vacancies in the UK, and gives employers confidence when hiring candidates into these roles.

Each qualification comprises of a curated number of compulsory modules, with the remaining credits to be allocated to optional modules of the candidate’s choice. Each module has been carefully chosen with the help of industry experts to ensure that all taught elements align to the occupational role of each pathway.
