Aims and objectives

This standard aims to provide the apprentice with all necessary resources to successfully learn, practice, and complete the skills highlighted as imperative for performing the roles of Applications Support Analyst or Applications Analyst, which is shown by the apprentice’s successful completion of 3 AMs: one technical 40-question MCQ, one portfolio-led discussion, and one project-led discussion.

The objectives of the Applications Support Lead Level 4 apprenticeship are:

  • To improve the knowledge, understanding, and skills (both occupational and transferrable) of the apprentice aiding them to effectively demonstrate the aptitude for the Applications Support Analyst or Applications Analyst roles.
  • To ensure that individuals entering the industry develop.
  • To create a professional path of progression for the apprentice by forming a solid foundational knowledge base and opening the door to supplementary courses at higher apprenticeship levels.
