  • Tayside & Fife Branch - Unconscious Bias held in conjunction with BCS Women

Synopsis:

Unconscious bias refers to the prejudices and stereotypes we all can carry but are unaware of. These biases can impact our decision making and our ability to interact with those around us in an unjust manner. To create STEM sectors which attract, recruit and respect diversity, we need to challenge our unconscious and conscious biases. This talk will go into detail on what different types of unconscious biases there are, what impact they can have and what we can all do to challenge them.
