BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, is kicking-off a new policy strategy designed to address some of the biggest technology challenges facing society today. We are bringing together key figures from industry, academia and policy to discuss these issues further, identify opportunities to collaborate and find ways to ensure technological chance is good for society. This is the second of a series of BCS workshops across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and will help to shape our strategy for the coming years.

SYNOPSIS

We’ll be bringing together IT and digital professionals from industry, government, and the third sector to identify how BCS, its broad membership and our thematic member communities can add value and contribute more meaningfully in the Scottish devolved context.
On the day, we will have 2X2 hour sessions, one focussed primarily on health and social care and one on education with three cross-cutting themes guiding discussion:

• Ethical data governance
