The Annual General Meeting gives you as a branch member the opportunity to engage with the Committee

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The West Yorkshire Branch is run by volunteers who organise events to promote and engage with the IT community. These activities can range from visiting and building a relationship with a local University where students are just beginning their working life in IT, to holding meetings with prestigious speakers which, without the help of the Committee, could not be held.

Full webinar connection details will be sent to those who have booked.

Call for Committee Officers
The West Yorkshire Branch is run by volunteers who organise events to promote and engage with the IT community. These activities can range from visiting and building a relationship with a local University where students are just beginning their working life in IT, to holding meetings with prestigious speakers which, without the help of the Committee, could not be held.
If you feel you would like to enhance your CV by holding an officer role on the BCS West Yorkshire Committee OR you feel you would like to be able to enhance your networking opportunities through organising, participating in events, and developing the skills you have gained in your career to a volunteer role,  we would welcome submissions to become Secretary of the branch, as well as committee members.
Regular commitments
We ask Committee Members to be responsible for arranging one event a year and attend committee meetings approximately every other month (these face to face in the Leeds area alternating with online discussions). Taking on additional responsibilities is discretionary. You can request to attend a committee meeting before deciding to join.
Nominations for the Chair, Treasurer and Secretary must be received by 5:00pm Friday 24th January 2020. Please email wybranchbcs@googlemail.com

Further information, including required criteria, can be found at BCS Volunteer Portal, Roles for Committee Members. https://volunteer.bcs.org/Guidance_roles
Please email wybranchbcs@googlemail.com with any nominations, to request to attend a committee meeting or if you have any questions about any of our committee roles (e.g. Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Committee Members).
Kind Regards

WYBCS Committee
