Synopsis

IT is more tightly woven into the fabric of society than ever before. The events of 2020 have only increased the speed at which this is happening.

The IT profession is changing fast in response. We are far more than long-haired, basement-dwelling hackers. There is an astonishing breadth and variety of IT-related professional skills. It is not clear, though, that businesses, institutions, and wider society fully understand what we do.

In this virtual meeting we will explore what it is to be an IT professional in 2021. This is an interactive event during which you will get the chance to share your views and experiences.

We will look at the journey the profession has been on, the path we would like it to take in the future, and how we can get there. We hope you will leave with a clearer idea of the IT profession as a whole and of your place within it.

Our events are for adults aged 16 years and over.
