This is a joint presentation with IET South-West Wales branch.

Speaker

Mr Barry Kirby, MD of Ksharp Ltd

Synopsis

Engineers are humans, therefore surely, we know how people will use the products and services we develop, don’t we?

Barry Kirby is a Chartered Engineer with the IET, but he is also a Chartered Human Factors Practitioner.

In this talk, he aims to give an insight into the value of considering users at all stages of the engineering project lifecycle, with real world examples of what happens when people are not considered along with the advantages that can be gained when they are.

A high-level overview of the tools, techniques and processes involved in Human Factors Engineering will be rounded off with a “next steps” for all engineers to consider in their current or future projects.

This event is brought to you by: BCS South Wales branch and IET South-West Wales branch.
