Synopsis
OpenAI, mainly through its Q* new type of algorithms, has claimed that its systems are getting closer to AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) or Strong AI! Allegedly, the CEO of OpenAI was sacked (for about a week) by the board due to not being transparent about attaining “a significant breakthrough” in the technology that achieves AGI!
Many scientists, philosophers, and researchers in the domain deny the possibility of achieving Strong AI. Learning Points:
We will:
- Find out what AGI is.
- Discuss the foreseeable potential achievements in the AI spectrum with the current technologies.
- Identifying myths from reality, exploring the opportunities and challenges, and whether Artificial General Intelligence can one day be achieved.
