Synopsis
Change is the past, present and future of computing. One technique available to bridge the gap between the past and the present - and, indeed, the future - is emulation.
We discuss some of the finer details of emulation, how it compares to similar techniques, and how emulation is at the forefront of computer conservation efforts, using Turing's ACE as a case study.
Time permitting, other computers from the 1940s-1950s will also be explored, and how emulators helped bring them back to the real world.
