Judging - FAQs

What if I am finalist in more than one category?

You will be required to attend a judging slot per successful entry.

We recommend booking your judging slot as quickly as possible as slots are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

How many people can attend the judging day presentation?

Technology Excellence / Organisation Excellence / Project Excellence - No more than two representatives per entry. (For Project Excellence one representative must be from the end user organisation).

For Personal Excellence - only the Individual Finalist can be interviewed.

What are the judges looking for?

Each of the categories has defined criteria that entrants must answer. Just as in a job application the judges are looking for hard evidence that the entry has addressed the criteria.

You should aim to provide measures of success and quotes from customers and / or users.

How many judges will I be presenting to?

There may be up to three judges on your panel. All judges will be listed on our website before the judging day.

How long will my judging session last?

A total of 30 minutes has been allocated for each judging slot.

Personal Excellence finalists:

  • 30 minute interview

Organisational, Technology and Project Excellence finalists:

  • Up to 15 minutes for your presentation
  • Remaining time Q&A with the judges
Who am I up against?

A full list of category Finalists will be available on the UK IT Industry Awards website on the afternoon of Tuesday 22 August. There are up to 10 finalists selected in each category. Each entry/individual will be judged separately throughout the day.

How will I access the judging session?

You will receive your MS Teams joining link when you book your judging slot.

Don’t have Microsoft teams on your desk top?

Join a meeting or initiate a phone call without a plug-in through the link that we send. Enjoy a plugin-less experience in a web browser where a meeting or a call just works!

Will I get feedback?

Unfortunately it is not possible to provide feedback to finalists. The judges decision is final.

Please refer to our terms and conditions for further information.
