Event description:

Sometimes seen as unfashionable and low priority for investment, backups are still a critical part of any IT infrastructure. They will enable a business to restore everything from a single email item, right up to an entire server as part of a disaster recovery scenario. The quantity - and criticality - of business data has increased dramatically in recent years, and so the question still remains: how can this data be backed up effectively to enable an efficient restore in times of need? George will look at the design of a reliable backup infrastructure and some of the technologies that can be employed to decrease the impact of any need for recovery on a business.

The event will start at 7.00pm although light refreshments will be available from 6.30pm.
