Pegg is a very exciting development in the history of Sage. Pegg allows startups and small business owners, and anyone else who hates admin, to manage their business through their favourite messaging apps. Susana and Alex will tell the story of Pegg from incubation to proof-of-concept to industrialisation, share the findings of Sage’s research into the mindset of the millennial entrepreneur, talk about the challenges the developers faced during the incubation of Pegg, and where AI comes into the equation. Richard will provide an overview of Microsoft’s Bot Framework, a technology for building intelligent chat bots and deploying them to multiple messaging platforms at once. 

About the speakers:

Susana Duran is the Development Manager of Sage’s Mobile & Bots Centre of Excellence and based in Barcelona. Susana has a B.Sc. in Computer Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Alex Fawcett is Principal Architect of Sage’s Mobile and Bots Centre of Excellence. Alex has been with Sage for ten years and involved in mobile development from the early days, and more recently in the ideation of the invisible app.

Richard Custance joined Microsoft Corp DX in 2013 as a Technical Evangelist, Developer (TED). Richard's main role is to accelerate the adoption of Microsoft platforms and technologies within the Global ISV community. He is part of the DX Office 365 Technical Working Group and is an Office 365 Development Ranger working closely with the Office 365 Product and Business teams. Whilst Richard works for a global team based in Redmond US, Richard’s lives in the Northeast of the UK.
