Synopsis
The ability to make sense of data is creeping in as a keyword in every job description, from business intelligence, data analytics to the latest growth in data scientists. But who is making all of this data, allowing people to query it and create the evidence for informed decision making.
Data engineers are those working hard behind the scenes creating, transforming, providing access and bringing order to often messy, unstructured data. This presentation will bring to light these unsung heroes of data, the skills needed and some insights from those working at Ordnance Survey.
