About us

We are one of five Health Informatics Specialist Groups (HISGS) of BCS. We contribute to national and international debates on information management and technology issues within health care.

We provide co-ordination and liaison with a range of national and international bodies in the field of health informatics but also hold a significant body of knowledge in this emerging domain.

We do this by seeking the views of members, and via linking with other bodies, in the United Kingdom and Internationally to inform the nursing E health agenda.
