Adrian Grace MBCS CITP

Adrian has over 28 years of experience in IT. He became involved in IT through his original career as an avionics technician and developed skills in both hardware and software. Since 1998 he has been working as both a solutions Architect & Enterprise Architect for both end-user organisation and consultancies.

He has a broad knowledge of the IT Industry having been a leader in both large-scale implementation programmes as well as outsource contracts responsible for the operational management of IT. He has extensive experience in leading Complex Systems Integration Design, including his role as Chief Architect for the IBM built components of the UK Government flag ship ‘Universal Credit’ programme. He has created and led architecture teams for customers in the retail, telecoms and finance sectors. Including over three years leading the Global Design Authority (50 architects based on three continents) for a Dutch retail Bank.

His primary skills are focussed on managing the complexity of IT, explaining issues and opportunities to all stakeholders regardless of role or technical knowledge in an appropriate and accessible way. As well as Architecture Modelling he has a deep interest in Systems Thinking and Systems Engineering.

Adrian achieved CITP status in 2011 and revalidated his Certificate of Competence in 2016, he became a CITP Assessor in 2012. He served on the Membership Committee of the BCS from 20014-2017.

As well as his involvement in the BCS Adrian is a member of INCOSE and Middlesex County Cricket Club. He can still occasionally be found making a cameo appearance throughout the summer playing for local cricket teams.
