AGM and Agile journeys

Annual General Meeting:

The election of the mandatory officers (Chair, Secretary, Treasurer) will take place at the AGM. Candidates who are interested in serving in any of these posts are invited to send in their nominations to by 29 November 2013. Candidates for these posts should be full BCS members (MBCS or FBCS). Nominations should include the name of the office, candidate's full name and the names of a proposer and seconder (who also must be BCS members or fellows).

The Agenda for the AGM will contain the following sections:

  1. Apologies for Absence
  2. Minutes of the last AGM
  3. Chair's Report
  4. Treasurer's Report
  5. Election of Officers
  6. Any other Business

Copies of the last AGM Minutes and Officers' reports will be distributed at the AGM. To help members that are unable to attend, the Secretary shall, on request, be pleased to forward copies of these documents.

Join the Branch Committee
Following a number of retirements and job changes within the existing branch committee, the committee would welcome the addition of new members interesting in organising and promoting our events. Please contact if you would like to find out more.


Agile journeys: The IT world has been raving about Agile and its methods for a number of years now. Successful Agile implementation deliver very significant improvements to those business that manage to do it, but it is a journey full of bumps, obstacles and difficulties.

For the AGM we are assembling a panel of speaker from businesses across Kent who will share their experiences and their journeys towards Agility.
