Lean startup 101

Wednesday 30 January 2013

18:30 - 20:30

Keynes Lecture Theatre 4, University of Kent, Canterbury CT2 7NF

Joint event with the newly-formed Kent Lean Startup Circle

Following Tendayi Viki's very popular presentation for BCS Kent in September 2011, we thought it would be a good idea to start the new year revisiting this topic and discussing the Lean Startup Basics.

There are a lot of misconceptions about Lean Startup and most people do not really understand how to apply its key tenets to their startup. There also misconceptions over what can be regarded as the lean approach to innovation and entrepreneurship.

This session is about discussing and challenging those misunderstandings. This session is recommended for everyone - those new to Lean as well as those more experienced with it. We plan to discuss everything - from Experiments, MVPs, Business Models and Vanity Metrics.

The format is an open forum style where we will all be able to discuss, debate and help each other in the room. So come along with all the questions and challenges you may be facing in your own work Kanban.
