Informer provides insights and inspiration to researchers and professionals working in all aspects of search and information retrieval. It is published in January, April, July and October.

The contributions provide a timely coverage of important topics, ranging from focused, practical advice, concise overviews of broader topics and research-oriented articles and opinion pieces.

Informer also carries reports on IRSG conferences and reviews of new books and reports.
