Primary Health Care specialist group: Prizes and awards

Conference prizes

We award two prizes at our annual conference in November. The prestigious John Perry Prize (JPP) is for excellence in primary care informatics for those with an established career, while the Hildi Franke Award (HFA) is our early career award for students or those in the first five years of their informatics career. Both prizes offer a financial award (£500 for JPP and £150 for HFA) as well as an invitation to the Primary Healthcare Specialist Group annual conference to present your work. The winning applications are also published on the PHCSG website.

Julian Costello Travel Bursaries

These bursaries are awarded annually to allow early career informaticians to attend the Medical Informatics Europe (MIE) conference. They cover everything: transportation, accommodation, conference fees and food.
