With a national spotlight on women required in STEM subjects/careers, this discussion aims to empower young professional women who want to pursue a career in IT/Computing. Despite research from e-skills UK (2014) showing that in IT-Related subject areas, women consistently achieve higher grades; only 16% of women are actually working in field of IT and Telecommunications.

This event places focus on women in the computing industry; starting with a discussion panel consisting of current IT Professionals, entrepreneurs, academics and new graduates in the computing industry (full list of panel members to be confirmed). Following the discussion, there will be an opportunity for networking over light refreshments.
