This talk by Richard Moulds examines the Capability of

  • clinical, patient, and operational health IT systems
  • the IM&T and operational teams that plan, implement, and use them.

It includes results from the University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust and other NHS Trusts. It will be of particular interest to Clinical CIOs, IM&T managers, operational managers, and people who are involved with IT-enabled transformation programmes focused on the QIPP Agenda in the NHS.

The presented results are from the Managing IT for Value in Healthcare Programme in the UK and Ireland. This Programme is a joint approach by IVI with the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society.

Speaker Bio:

Richard Moulds is a member of the Innovation Value Institute, a ‘Not for profit’ Organisation set up by Intel and the National University of Ireland in 2006. It carries out research, education, and assessment in the management and usage of IT to optimise business value.

Richard is an interim Director of IM&T / Programme Director with extensive experience in the NHS including: 10 NHS Trusts and Foundation Trusts across all sectors of care, Strategic Health Authorities, the Department of Health and Healthcare Charities.
