Taken at its broadest, FinTech is shorthand for innovation in financial services - new products from new startups, or new approaches by existing players where technology is the key enabler.

With a combined finance, legal and professional services sector worth £13 billion and over 91,000 skilled employees in banking alone it’s fitting that Leeds will be hosting the UK’s first FinTech accelerator outside of London in 2015.  Exciting times for our city.

Emma Cheshire, co founder and CEO of Dotforge Accelerator will share Dotforge’s plans to attract top fintech startups to Leeds. As well as finding out about Fintech. We will also get a unique insight into what life’s like for startups in the accelerator programme.

Alex Amsel, Bitcoin Entrepreneur and cryptocurrency expert will give us an insight into what he’s working on in the world of Bitcoin

Sat Nav: Some sat navs have difficulty finding Salem Chapel Auditorium (LS10 1JQ) due to local redevelopments, in this event we recommend entering ‘Dock Street, Leeds, LS10 1LX’. The adjacent car park is LS10 1JQ.
